This is an I am poem in the perspective of Curley's Wife from John Steinbeck's book Of Mice and Men
Curley's Wife:
I am sad and left out
I wonder why people judge me
I hear people laugh at me
I see others looking at me
I want to be treated fairly
I am sad and left out
I pretend they don't bother me
I feel left out and sad
I touch the floor
I worry others don't like me
I cry when people judge me
I am sad and left out
I understand that I am a woman
I say I can do what I want
I dream of being an actress
I try to fit in
I hope to be treated equally
I am sad and left out
