The fourth person Eddie meets in heaven is Marguerite, the love of his life. Marguerite died because she got sick and died in the hospital. Ever since, Eddie lived on his own, living the same day over and over again. He would wake up and work at Ruby Pier as a maintenance man. Marguerite was waiting for Eddie in heaven, ever since she died. Eddie was very happy because he finally saw the love of his life again, and he didn't want the moment to end.
The third person Eddie met in heaven was his father. His father thought him how to be a man. He told him to stick up for his brother and family. Even though his father was mean at times, Eddie would look up to him, and he eventually followed in his footsteps. Eddie joined the army because his father taught him to fight for others, even though you might get hurt along the way.
Eddie's death changes the plot by a lot because the reader most likely thought it was going to only be about his time in heaven. But, after his death that changed. Eddie's death was very meaningful, it made his character more caring and brave. He was very generous too because he risked his life for a little girl. After he died, we learn that every ending is also a beginning. His life in heaven is going along the path of very confusing to Eddie because he had so many unanswered questions. But he finally learned that his life was not over, and that he was just beginning a new journey.
The second person Eddie meets in heaven was his captain from the army. He was significant to Eddies life because he trained Eddie to be good fighter, and to be fearless during war because the slightest amount of hesitation can mess up everything.
The first person Eddie meets in heaven is an older man who Eddie met when he was younger. Eddie doesn't remember him because in his lifetime, he met many people and he was so young that he could not remember him. He was called the blue man. He was called that because he had a condition that made his skin blue. The blue man explained to Eddie that "fairness does not govern life and death." That quote was Eddie's first lesson.
"All endings are also beginning" This statement is true because your life will still live on in heaven. If somebody else's life ends, their dream will live on, and they voice will have changed many people.
Where am I? What am I doing here? Why do I feel no pain in my legs? This must be a dream because I can jump without pain. I remember the rollercoaster, I remember everything. It is so peaceful here, I need to find somebody. I realize that I can't speak, but I need to call out to somebody to find out where I am. I am so confused, somebody please help me.
